This National Exhibition opened July 9th and will run through August 20th at the Butler Institute of American Art in Youngstown, Ohio. Judy blogs about this painting and its inspiration which began 30 years ago when the subject of her BFA Thesis at the Cleveland Institute of Art was “The Seven Deadly Sins.” Her take on this juicy topic is that the sins are simply human traits we all possess and are a delicious jumping off point for interpretation through figurative art.
